I Loved this series and think it would make a good movie. Talk about a fun exciting ride! wow this was a big roller coaster. A great variety of emotions, some even intense or deeply sad. This story is based in the southern United States and is packed of multi-genre. Paranormal, Romance, Magic, Fictional History and Mystery. Each book becomes more thrilling and the author keeps you wondering "what comes next" throughout the entire series.

I purchased this box set of the first 3 stories first but before starting the second book I bought books 4-9. yes, I was hooked from the beginning.

The only thing i found distracting in the series was the increasing use of story repetition. In some places it is like the author is trying to fill pages by repeating previous written information. Regardless, i would highly recommend the series.

Although the heroine wasn't the one I favoured of all the witches I enjoyed this book more than the others in the series to date. This one had a lot more detail, character development and showed a real progression in the relationship. This author seems have found some real oomph with getting the plot going in the overall battle ahead. Enjoyed the read.
I like this series. They do get a bit "out there" into the paranormal realm and so if that isn't your thing, then neither is this book. This one takes a different twist than the previous books in the series. I won't say more about that, because I don't want to give anything away. The overall gist of these books is that they are a romance wrapped up in a supernatural adventure. If that is something you like, you will enjoy this book.
I really like this series, but why did she write a book with no ending? The other books wrapped up the story of the woman it featured, this one should have, because it was the least interesting story so far. I didn't really relate to the character of Lucia, maybe because of the way she threw herself at Ethan, someone she didn't even know, just because "it was her turn". Really? And we needed a second book about her? I don't think so. Hopefully the next book will be better.
And it's a big "High Five" to Suza Kates. Book number five, Possession of a Witch, draws us into the life of Lucia Ruiz, a treasure hunter who possesses the ability to find lost artifacts just by looking at a picture. It is vital that she locate a special dagger before members of the evil Amara do or the demon that wants free to rain pain and destruction on earth will be unleashed. It's a non-stop ride for Lucia to get to her destination first or die trying and it's a helluva ride for us readers as well.
Suza Kates gets better and better with each book she writes. "Possession of a Witch" had it all...drama, suspense, romance, and unworldly sexual tension between Lucia & Ethan. There were so many wonderful plot twist and turns, I couldn't imagine to guess what was on the next page. Book 6 of the Savannah Coven Series can't be get here fast enough. You'll be on the edge of your seat, and fall in love with Lucia and her Coven sisters.
I like the series that Suza Kates has going on here. They can be predictable after you read the first few, but this book did take you away from Savannah and put you in a different atmosphere so I think she understands she needs to put more dimension in them. This particular book takes Lucia to the jungles of South America in search of a dagger. I thought it somewhat odd that Shauni and Michael are heading out with them then boom, they are out of the picture...and the Amara follow them to the jungle but then disappear. I still thought it was good, and I like the concept of the entire series. As long as I can be entertained for a few hours while reading a book I'm pretty happy.
I have enjoyed every installment in the Savannah Coven. Suza does a great job of making every witch an individual with their own set of issues....(we all have baggage or issues that we must deal with to get the most of our lives). They are working together to solve the same overall problem (keeping a demon locked up), but have their own individual jobs to make it happen.
Dealing with and overcoming your own personal demons helps you grow and get more satisfaction out of life.

Lucia is seemingly so happy go lucky and vibrant, who knew that her soul mate would be just about the complete opposite. I have been reading and following the Savannah Coven from the beginning and each book gets us closer to the final battle with the demon. But I look forward to each book no matter which witch is the focus. I appreciate learning about each of them more thoroughly and you become more invested in each witch and their tasks as we go along.
