Our 7 year old loves this series- there's action, trivia and magic!

We love it because it's interesting and educational. We found ourselves looking up factoids just to learn more about the topics.

This book however, feels like the author just phoned it in. Slow, boring with way too powerful villains. The twins really must have magic to even make it thru the poisonings, killings and mass of problems. Our Daughter got really bored halfway thru and didn't really get interested again until the very end. We'll keep reading but feel its' a bad sign for the series.

Actually haven't had a chance to read this one yet, but loved the previous books. As an adult that likes an entertaining read without the gratuitous violence I have really enjoyed these books and would highly recommend them to parents with kids old enough to read them. They are full of adventures around the world, history, mystery, lessons learned and family values. The audio books of the stories are a hoot! To make it even better, if you read them to the kids you'll enjoy lines meant for you to enjoy. You'll both love the experience.
Really enjoy this series! While this is the book, I have listened to the first four as audio cds and they are even better.
If you like the genre of mystery, is good for adults too. I have read the whole series along with my children. I find them interesting and fun. It is a light read. Nice away from the stress of everyday.
Adventure, danger, with a butler who only eats baby food in addition to a character named Nimrod and a set of twins. yeppers perfect book for the whole family to find funny.
It was so interesting. I love it I love the series it is so I treating and on edge. I would definitely recommend this book after you have read the ones before it.
Well written, and a fun read! As an elementary teacher, this series is completely appropriate for young readers. It has plenty of plot twists to hold kids' attentions.
